Day 6 - We found some snow

After Questacon we left Canberra and headed to Adaminaby to setup camp. Once setup we headed out in search of some snow. After hearing the previous 2 nights got down to -10C we figured there has to be some.

We found snow on the road to Mt Selwyn. Not as much as we saw back in 2009 but enough to test out the Toboggans.

Day 5 - Australian National Museum

After Parliament house we headed to the National Museum. This was ok but nothing compared the the War Memorial.
The kids 'just wanna go to Questacon'
Tonight we're having dinner with family in Canberra. Tomorrow we'll go to Questacon before heading to the snow.

1st pic- The kids telling a Furphy.

Day 5 - Parliament House

Today we headed to Parliament house first and did the tour. Kids were amazed by the stats of 22km of Corridors and 2500 clocks. Seems the people in parliament spend a lot of time walking?? At least they know what time it is.
Wally got a few laughs ... even passing through the xray machine security had a chuckle.

Fwd: Day 3 Gulgong to Canberra via Bathurst

Today we headed off from Gulgong and caught up with Kathy & Jason & the kids near Mudgee.
From Mudgee we headed toward Canberra via Bathurst .... for quick :( lap of Mount Panorama ... as you do.
We had lunch on top of the Mountain. The kids thought it was great sitting up on the concrete barrier right up at Skyline and eat their lunch.
We arrived in Canberra around 530pm in a very central Caravan Park - The Canberra motor village. Tomorrow we'll  head over to the War memorial.
The weather forecast is looking good for the next few days. So glad to have power and warm up inside the van.

Lap of Mount Panorama

A quick lap of Mount Panorama with the Patrol and the Jayco on the back. I think the lap record is safe.
